Dec ’16 curlBox Unboxing

Hello ladies!

I’m back again with another unboxing. This unboxing is for another one of my subscription boxes, CurlBox. This also $25 a month like CurlKit. If you missed last month’s unboxing, I will link it at the end of this blog for you =). They named this box “The Balance Box”. This month was a “takeover box” that I absolutely fell in love with. So let’s get to it! =)

The Curlbox and it’s contents.

As you can see, this box was full of Eden Body Works products. I’ve never truly used their products before, so i’m pretty excited to try them out. Seems like the perfect products for the Winter months. As always, we receive an insert, that tells you what the products are good for. We also received a styling tip insert using these products (i’ll so that at the end lol).

On the back page, they always put a date and time for when they are going to have their December Curlbox Chat on Twitter.

Now for the products!!!:

1. Eden Body Works Peppermint Tea Tree Cleanse & Clarify Natural Shampoo: Paraben & Sulfate Free; 8 oz.; Original Price $8.99

From Website: “An invigorating, clarifying, cleansing shampoo that increases scalp circulation for refreshed, renewed feeling. Removes all traces of dirt and oil build up. Formulated to help alleviate dry, itchy scalp with the use of pure peppermint botanicals.”

dec92. Eden Body Works Coconut Shea All Natural Cleansing CoWash: Paraben & Sulfate Free; 16 oz.; Original Price $7.99

From Website: “Sulfate-free, no suds gentle cleansing conditioner cream for removing residue and build up between regular washings to promote a healthy hair environment for growth.”

Thoughts: Now, i’m not a co-washer, but I have heard A LOT of good things about this co-wash. I might end up just using this as regular rinse out conditioner after shampooing. From what i’ve read, it’s basically the same thing lol, just has some cleansing properties.

In the insert it has the Peppermint Tea Tree Shampoo and the Coconut Shea Co-Wash listed as “refresh. It says, “Need a ‘pick me up’ from the gauntlet of seasonal festivities? The sulfate-free Peppermint Tea Tree Shampoo boasts pure peppermint botanicals that invigorate and stimulate the scalp and leave you feeling refreshed and renewed! Rotate in the Coconut Shea All Natural Cleansing Co-Wash for a soothing, creamy cleanser on alternate wash days to gently remove product buildup and leave strands soft and moisturized with luscious coconut oil and shea butter.”

3.Eden Body Works Jojoba Monoi All Natural Deep Conditioner: Paraben & Sulfate Free; 1.75 oz. (sample pack); Original Price for 16 oz. $9.99

From Website: “JOJOBA Natural Deep Conditioner strengthens hair through its botanical combination of Coconut, Jojoba, and Monoi. Formulated to replenish hair strength and restore hair’s natural beauty from over processing, damage, and dryness. Fortified to balance the hair’s moisture level, resulting in stronger, healthier, more manageable hair. Excellent deep conditioner for all textures and hair types.”

In the insert it has the Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner listed as “restore”. It says, “It’s ok to say no sometimes, this season. Skip a party and get cozy in some comfy PJs, warm some eggnog, and have a curlBox and chill night with the Jojoba Monoi All Natural Deep Conditioner. If your hair could use some TLC from dryness and breakage from frigid temps or sweater and scarf friction, this ultra-thick deep conditioner restores moisture and strength from coconut, jojoba and monoi oils. Slather on while kicking back (overnight is fine, too!) and rinse out for stronger, shinier, more defined curls.”

dec84. Eden Body Works Peppermint Tea Tree All Natural Hair Milk: Paraben & Sulfate Free; 8 oz.; Original Price $5.00

From Website: “Natural Hair Milk is a leave in conditioning lotion formulated to boost moisture and shine in the hair, without being too heavy. Made with organic Coconut oil, Jojoba and Avocado, this blend delivers antioxidants that replenish and rejuvenate dry brittle hair. Leaves hair soft, shiny and manageable.”

dec105. Eden Body Works Coconut Shea Control Edge Glaze: Firm Hold; 6 oz.; Original Price $8.99

From Website: “Provides a firm, manageable hold along the hairline and/or hair shaft to preserve desired styles. This lightweight formula will not create build up.”

Thoughts: Y’all, I have so many edge controls lol. I don’t even really have a “holy grail” when it comes to them. Right now, besides just using Eco Styler because Eco Styler is life lol, I do have one that i’m really liking that I have been using. There will be a product review soon for it. I’m definitely going to try this one though. Probably when I test these products out.

In the insert it has the Peppermint Tea Tree Hair Milk and Coconut Shea Edge Gel listed as “reset”. It says, “Of course, it is a season to connect an be thankful for our circle. Keep it simple and stress-free with a couple of go-to products and styles that allow you to switch up with ease. Use the Peppermint Tea Tree Hair Milk as a leave-in and styler for two strand twists worn down just after shampooing. For your next appearance, grab some hair pins and get creative with the moisturizing Coconut Shea Edge Gel.”

As I mentioned earlier, I am really excited about this box. Total these products come out to be $31, excluding the Jojoba Monoi Deep Conditioner since it was a sample pack. These products are really affordable and I think everyone loves a product they can find on the shelves for less than $10. I have seen these products in Sally’s and i’ve also seen them in some Targets, so they are pretty easy to find depending on what you may be looking for.

Oh! & let me not forget the extra insert they put in the box for some “styling tips” with these products.

    1. I forgot to put it in my post, but if you would like to purchase a box, here’s the website: http://m.curlbox.com/34/mobile-home.htm
They only open subscriptions one Saturday a month. So to be notified just add yourself to their list. I believe subscriptions open this coming Saturday for the Jan curlBox, but once you’ve subscribed once, you’ll be good to go for the other months, unless you unsubscribe.
